Looking back

Below is my CCR

All finished!

We were finally fully completed with our music video project. I am very pleased with our finished product. I enjoyed the group I worked with because everyone held up their part. My favorite part of this project was picking out the song and creating the storyboard. Overall, I do not think there is anything I would change about our music video. I would work with this group again for projects in the near future. Throughout the process I was able to learn more about editing and gained more knowledge on my filming terms. Our music video portrays our storyboard very well and is exactly what I expected. In the future, I will apply anything I learned over this project to the next projects, to make them even better. I am excited to see what our future projects will be.

Editing blog

Today we dedicated our time to editing. I personally do not know how to edit. This is why my part of the music video was mainly the acting and filming aspects. The person who will be editing will be Ayden. This leaves the rest of our group there for moral support and feedback. The first thing I did was make sure Ayden had all of the correct clips, since we filmed on my phone. Next, we discussed the plot of our music video. This was so we could arrange the clips in order. For our music video the platform we used to edit was iMovie. Next, we listened to the part of the song we would be using. Next, I watched as Ayden added the song to iMovie over the clips. This was not the end of the editing there still more that had to be done. I then watched as Ayden trimmed each individual scene. This was so that only the good parts of the clips were there, eliminating any mistakes. After this I watched my group partner adjust the clips in even more detail, along with the music. This was so

Finishing up

Production blog               Today, we did our last bits of filming. For this we filmed two scenes. One of the scenes was extra and possibly may not be used. This took place at the beach. For this scene, I had to run to Trevor a give him a hug. This scene was the last scene of our music video. It represents us pursuing happiness and making up. This scene was pretty easy to film and took only a few tries to film. The extra scene we filmed was another one of the happy memory scenes we had filmed a few days before. In this scene, I had to act like I was having a fun time and look happy. We may or may not use this scene, this will be determined by our editor/director Ayden. Since we are now finished with our filming it was time to move on to editing. I personally am not very familiar with how to edit. However, I am able to take this a learning opportunity and learn from my fellow peers. For our music video Ayden will be doing the editing, he is the most creative and talented when it com

Plan B

Production blog   On Sunday, we continued our filming process. We were left with just a couple of scenes to film. This day was a normal day that we filmed. Basically, we filmed our activities on that day to use for our music video. This gave a more authentic feel to the scenes. We did have to make a minor change of plans regarding one of our scenes though. In our music video, originally, we had a scene planned where we were ice skating. This scene was used to represent a happy memory. We were not able to go ice skating however we had a better idea of filming at a dolphin’s football game. This gave off emotion as the ice skating scene.  So for those two clips we filmed, Trevor and I were the actors. Since these scenes represented happy memories I had to make sure I was smiling and looked like I was genuinely having a fun time. Since it was just Trevor and I there I sent the clips we took to Ayden for some feedback. He said they were perfect so we were done with the filming aspects for

Filming blog: Busy day

We began our filming process on Friday. This consisted of three of our group members. This was okay because only two of us are in the music video. In the music video, I am one of the actors. We began our filming process with our car scenes. This was somewhat challenging.  Trevor was the driver and only one in these scenes. So, for this scene I sat in the backseat and helped direct the scenes while Ayden filmed in the passenger’s seat. These scenes were challenging to film because our driver Trevor was not the best. Eventually, we got these scenes filmed. After this it was my turn to act. This next scene took place on a balcony outside. This is the first scene of our music video. In this scene Trevor and I get in an argument and I slap him. This scene took a couple of tries because I had to make sure I looked serious enough. We finally got this scene after multiple tries and it was perfect. We had one more scene to film for this day. This scene was just me. In this scene, I was sup
